Oh my, it’s 2nd Dec 2012 already? X’mas in another 23 days time, 2012 will be over in 29 days? OMG!!! Time really flies and it’s very scary… Anyways, will have a lot of get-together cum eating sessions coming up…and we already started one buffet session yesterday… OMG, there goes the waist line 🙁
We usually craved to have steamboat when weather is good and cooling, and weather was good yesterday. It has been a long time since we last visited King’s Laksa Steamboat near Serangoon Nex. Think yesterday’s visit was the 4th visit so far in 2012. It’s somehow pretty reasonably priced with satisfactory choices of items.
There’s 4-5 types of soup base to choose from. And from the restaurant’s name “King’s Laksa Steamboat”, how can you miss the Laksa Soup base. We ordered Chicken & Laksa
Looking at the order chit, there seems to be less varieties. There used to be some cold dishes (Garlic Pork, which is his favorite), fried wanton (his favorite too), fried nuggets, first glass of drink FOC, but not anymore. Ordered and happily waiting for our food :p Besides ordering the ingredients for the steamboat, we ordered Deep Fried Prawn Paste Chicken Wings (our favorite, it’s nice), Fried Buns, Ngoh Hiang (so-so).
Indoor seatings were slightly cramped but air-conditioned. We were seated in a corner, and there’s a small fan on the floor facing us. Just nice. As usual, after eating indoors, i always walked out with Laksa smell 🙁 I don’t wanna sit outside because the durian stall is juz 3 units down. I rather smell like walking laksa than smelling durian throughout the dinner :p
We spent S$50.80 for the steamboat buffet dinner.
