I love celery. I will usually stir-fry them with meat. Boyfriend not a fan of celery, so seldom cook them now.
I never tried them raw…or rather I dare not tried. Think the veg taste is too strong :p A colleague shared this new way of eating celery raw and I got hooked (well, it’s new to me at least). Celery with Peanut Butter. I didn’t know there’s such combination. She first had it at her recent BBQ session and her friend prepared this. She thought that it’s great combination, super crunchy, juicy and the peanut butter covered part of the raw taste. Good for those who doesn’t like celery. Introduced to some friends and they find it not bad too. Haven get boyfriend to try it though, but I doubt he’s open to it. Wahahaha…
I used to hear that Celery is good for reducing high blood pressure, but in fact there are other benefits too:
– Low in calories. Good for me..he he he…I wanna go on diet.
– Reduces inflammation
– Stress relief…good too…too stress lately.
– Aids digestion. Hm…great for me
– Reduces bad cholesterol
Hm…my blood pressure is on the low side… I wonder if it will make the blood pressure even lower? Hm… anyways, it’s always good to take with moderate portion, too much is not good either.
