Saw a picture of friend’s Korean Army Stew in her facebook and we decided to give it a try 😀 It’s similar to our usual steamboat, very simple to prepare. Not sure how it’s compared to those served in restaurant, but boyfriend and I certainly love our version. The dish originated during the Korean War, and was popular for a time afterwards, when people had little to eat. […]
In My Kitchen – Tom Yum Pasta
Was craving for Tom Yum and thought of having something different. Decided to cook Tom Yum Pasta, similar to how I did my Laksa Pasta previously. We always stocked up a lot of Tom Yum Paste because boyfriend likes to add into steamboat or soup for flavor. Ingredients: – Fish Cake – Crab Stick – Prawns – Perencan Tom Yum Paste x1pkt and Tadah!!! Boyfriend asked for […]
Another week…
Oh my, another week gone…and guess what, we are already in May 2014. Oh man…2nd month of the 2nd quarter of the year. Can’t time slow down? Kinda scary as the days went by without noticing it. Sigh…still nothing been done… As usual, work been busy, nothing new… Never had enough time…wahahaha… And am having fever again, URGH! I’m not sure if it’s my wisdom tooth or what […]
In My Kitchen – Japanese Curry Udon (Updated)
Had curry udon last friday and was tempted to try to cook one. Since it was a rainy Monday evening, thought it should be a good time for some hot soupy dinner :p He he he…boyfriend went online to search and some added Dashi Stock into the curry. Hm…didn’t know that, I thought just add those ready made curry cubes will do. I prepared Dashi Stock once but ended […]

Our simplified Korean Pork Bulgogi
Occassionally, to satisfy his cravings, he will order Korean Pork Bulgogi from the stall at the Foodcourt, even though it was the “not so nice” version compared to others. Since we had too much pork belly left uncooked from the previous steamboat session, he decided to cook his style of Korean Pork Bulgogi with reference from one of the recipe in Channel 8’s Let’s Cook1 program. Our Simplified Korean Pork […]
Fried Hokkien Prawn Mee
The bag of prawns from one of the prawning trip contributed to our dinner previously. He cooked Stir-Fry Prawn Noodle and Char Kway Teow (Stir-Fry Noodle). Prawn noodle was good, but the Char Kway Teow was too salty and dark. Not sure if he followed any recipes or just add the seasoning he wants. Occassionally we do search for recipes from Munch Ministry, Asia Food Recipe and some […]
Prawning @Punggol
We went to prawn-fishing aka prawning at Hai Bin @Punggol after the less-than satisfactory dinner on Friday. Since it’s near home, he and I went home to put our stuffs before joining them there. It’s always very crowded (mostly young crowds) when we walked pass, rarely get a chance to prawn. Luckily they managed to get seats. Quite fun, but really gotta be patient, quite torturing for me. […]
