Oooo…this is my first week at the new work place located at Chinatown. Well, lotsa eateries in this area, happie happie π There’s some foodstalls at basement or level 1 in the same building, People’s Park Market, Chinatown Market as well as lotsa restaurants in the newly renovated Chinatown Point. Oh my…yum yum…
We went to this “old school” cafe-lookalike place at Chinatown Point for lunch – Hill Street Coffee Shop. Their first outlet was located at the Super Tree Grove casual dining area of Gardens by the Bay. The Chinatown point outlet was opened in Dec2012. Hill Street Coffee shop aims to bring you back to the early days of coffee shop scenes in Singapore. Hm…sad to say I forgot to take picture of the environment. Shall do that next time!
Placed my orders at the counter. Was given a number tag to wait for the food, but drinks was served first. I love the cup! So vintage…isn’t it nice!
Curry Chicken Noodle
Oh my! It’s yummy. The gravy was rich & thick, but slightly too much for me. But it’s good. They have about 3-4 or 5 potatoes, some beansprouts (weird though, don’t remember having beansprouts in curry noodle before), 3-4 pieces of chicken.
Kampong Rendang Chicken Nasi Lemak
My colleague ordered this, but I forgot to take picture of his food. There’s this old looking piece of newspaper below the Pandan Leaf with food. Managed to find the image from their menu in their website…. Love the look of how the food was served!
For my order of Teh-O Bing and Curry Chicken Noodle, think the total price was around $7 (not more than $8 definitely). Not sure if it’s consider cheap, but with the ambience and taste, I wouldn’t mind though :p
Right now, they have a promotion for dine-in only!
FREE Hot Kopi/Teh with every order of Rendang or Sambal Chicken Nasi Lemak
Valid for dine in only. Not valid on public holidays.
