♥ Valentine’s Day Lunch 2013 ♥

Valentine's Day

Today is my 2nd day in the new company. Hm…so far so good, was given some tasks on the first day. Luckily, only few items were new to me and hopefully I’m able to pick up. Well, kinda not used to the non accounts servicing role… I think I enjoyed preparing quotations, drafting specifications and conducting UAT :p But overall, should be a good exposure for me now. Praying hard for a great start for me. Sadly, I couldn’t wear shorts to work now, need to change the entire wardrobe…and I bought this dress the other day for S$10 at Bugis Village. Not sure why the picture seems to make the dress looks greyish. But it’s actually in cream color. Good buy?

It was the Chinese New Year week last week. Monday & Tuesday were public holiday and I was off from Wednesday to Friday since I need to clear my leave. 15 Feb 2013 was my official last day with the company. Well, it’s a pity he was required to be on 1 week’s standby from last Thursday (Valentine’s Day) onwards. Luckily, he did manage to find time to meet me at 330pm @ NEX for a Valentine’s Day lunch.

I opted for Chinese instead of the usual Western or Japanese food. We went to Din Tai Fung (鼎泰豐) @ NEX since we always wanted to try their famous Fried Rice with Shrimp & Egg. Look at the picture, isn’t that yummy? The shrimps were fresh and Din Tai Fung definitely not stingy with them.

I would consider this as my “must-have” dish.

Steamed Dumplings
Their Signature item, definitely a MUST-HAVE and it’s on every table. He suggested to order 10pcs, but luckily I ordered 6pcs :p Oh, check out their website for the Art of Making Xiao Long Bao…

And YES, I was the one who made the order. He he he…he was busy checking his email and asked me to decide. Well, being ME, I couldn’t make up my mind what to have especially when there were so many choices. I managed to delete some options and ordered these :p Total bill was about S$60+ (couldn’t remember the exact amount).
