First time to Flock Café – a cozy looking family-run café, located at 78 Moh Guan Terrace, in the Tiong Bahru Estate. In fact, there’s quite a number of cafés in this old residential estate…would love to explore more next time. There’s
Love the interior, so relaxed… The black ceiling fan creates a big contrast against the white background. NICE!
Here’s the menu, fairly basics with All Day Breakfast, Pizzas and Pastas.
Here comes our food!
Orange Bundt Cake – $6.00
Cakes are not listed in the menu, but written on the glass cover next to the counter. Mr E ordered the Orange Bundt Cake. Beautifully sweet icing drizzled on top of the moderately citrus flavor cake… Like it as it’s not too citrus, texture of the cake a little bit dry though, but acceptable.
Scrambled Egg & Croissant with Bacon – $14.90
– creamy scrambled eggs, butter croissant w/ choice of smoked salmon or crispy bacon
E & Eve ordered this. Love the croissant, crispy and sweet…
Big Breakfast – $19.90
– 2 poached eggs, baked beans, sausage, crispy bacon, portobello, roasted potatoes, tomatoes & sourdough
Mr E highly recommended the Scrambled Egg & Croissant, but thought of ordering something different so that we can share. The portion was big and quite filling especially there’s 2 slices of sourdough, some roasted potatoes…
I don’t take poached eggs and I don’t like any “watery” eggs, requested to change to scrambled eggs instead. I’ve also asked E to inform he staff that the eggs has to be fully cooked. Hm…but seems like this is the best they can do? It’s just my personal preference. I need my eggs to be fully cooked, even scrambled eggs or omelette. He he he…
Reached Flock Café at about 1115, not really packed, just that there’s no seats available for 3 of us. Waited awhile, no one attended to us. Not sure if we are suppose to walk further in to see if there’s seats available (but at a glance, you know there isn’t), to wait, to sit separately, to arrange the tables ourselves or to just leave… We must have been 3 statues standing there quite lost, a lady told one of the staff to attend to us… The staff added another table to a table in one corner for us.

Finished our food, we went to PS Cafe Petit for drinks. It’s within walking distance from Flock Cafe. Initially, we thought that it should be some usual cafe but were amazed when we stepped in. It’s more like a wine + pizzas takeaway place with minimal seats and standees. I loved the interior, mainly black and gold (or was it the lighting that makes everything looks goldish?). Loved the black tiles on the wall… They have pizzas, pizza pockets, salads, desserts, etc and of course wines at reasonable prices.
Had some drinks, stayed a while and left. Didn’t order any food… Shall try if I’m around the area again.
