August and September are really feasting months for us. My birthday in August and his in September. Wahahaha, I’m really getting rounder and rounder. Decided to skip the staycation ideas. With the amount per night, I can get him a wallet + card holder. Wahahaha… So, staycation out for now. Bought the man a wallet. I’ve also bought a pair of 2D1N batam voucher from deal.com.sg, yet to redeem.
Went to Rise at MBS with his parents last Saturday. Shortlisted a few buffets and we decided to go MBS since there’s a Mont Blanc outlet there (they close at 11.30pm on Saturdays!) Dinner at 7pm, not as crowded as I thought it would be. Theme of the night is Local Favorite, so there’s laksa, Yong tau hu, braised duck, rojak, chili crab, etc, in addition to the usual international buffet dishes.
I will always go to the seafood and sashimi counters first. Wahahaha…big fan of seafood, but couldnโt eat as much these days. Love the prawns and sashimi ๐ They served Alasakan Crab too! Boyfriend took quite a bit for me, happily enjoying myself :p Didnโt explore all the counters, managed to try the lamb stew, Seabeam (too fishy for me), Crispy Pork Belly (The oil/juice ooze out when you bite the meat. He loved it!), Roasted Beef was yummy, Beef Lasagna, Chili Crabs (not in the picture). Personally, I find the chili crab quite disappointing. Meat was a bit mushy and gravy too sweet andarticial. Forgot to visit the Bread station ๐ Tried the Mango, Raspberry, but Coconut Sorbet was too milky for me. Oh! Fruits available too, but the kiwi I took that day was REALLY HARD, unlike those that we bought from supermarket. I can’t even poke my teaspoon in…wahahaha….
We managed to catch the 13mins light and laser show outside MBS at 930pm, a tale of the journey through life. Hm… it’s quite nice, but dunno why that tale. I’d prefer the light show in HK.
Last stop of the day, of course to get him his birthday pressie ๐

Went home to cut the cake…wahahaha…I bought a small Tiramisu cake without knowing that his mom already ordered a 1kg cake for him :S Overdosedโฆ
