Went to visit A and her baby at Mt A last Saturday. Happy for her and she’s really amazing. She went through natural birth without Epidural. I doubt I can take it that way… Boyfriend and I reached there first at around 330 and his other cousins and aunts came later… We were there for about 4 hours and went off at 7plus for dinner with his cousins & aunt.
We were quite near to Upper Thomson Road, so boyfriend suggested to go there for dinner. He googled and apparently Ban Leong Wah Hoe Seafood at Casuarina Road was highly recommended by some. Their business was really good. Packed with diners. Get to order crab becos girl likes crab too… Yippee… There’s a promotion, 2 crabs for $35. Food was served pretty fast.
Prawn Paste Chicken Wings
With kids around, this probably one of the must order dish. Well cooked, crispy and the meat inside was juicy.
Stir Fry Fish Slice & Stir Fry Baby Kailan
Normal…
Birthday Noodles (Fried Mee Sua)
Their signature dish, Fried Mee Sua with prawns, squids, fish slices, quail eggs, etc. Erm…probably the unique thing is the quail eggs? The noodle was moist, slightly thicker than Mee Sua but thinner than Ee Mee. Don’t really like it. If it’s about uniqueness, I would prefer Sembawang’s White Bee Hoon.
Chilli Crab
It seems that their Chilli Crab is very famous and was highly recommended by many. The crab was fresh but not WOW for me. Personally, I find it slightly bland. Well, not sure if there’s something wrong with my taste bud. I was craving for Salted Egg Crab, but they don’t have it 🙁 They have so much fans, I’m sure there must be something good. Try it yourself!
Fried Buns
How can we skip this…
We spent about $122, which I think was quite reasonable. Food was ok but not WOW. They do have a group of loyal customers, so I’m sure there’s something worthy of their repeat visits. Do give it a try yourself to find out.
