It’s the time of the year again, official +1 year 🙁
Oh my, this is going to be a long post, recapping activities for almost the whole week :p

He’s required to go to Batam for work on Wednesday, so we had dinner on Tuesday instead. Went online to research where to eat. Accidentally bump into some reviews on Imperial Treasure Noodle & Congee House @ Ion, so decided to give it a try. The review photos were nice…and most important of all, it seems that they served nice Dim Sum.
Reached there at about 730, well, thankfully, there was no queue. Settings in the restaurant was simple. We were brought to a table with just 2 seats. Erm…table seems small, but I guess it’s about the same as CJ and other similar places. Was browsing through the menu, and to our disappointment, there doesn’t seems to have Dim Sum in there…perhaps it’s only available at certain timing.
While we were still thinking of what to order, the waitress came and ask if we want some drinks first…ordered hot tea. Tea arrived, and we were ready to order. Was pretty hungry and luckily we don’t have to wait for too long.
HK Boat Congee (艇仔粥) – S$7.20++
The kind of Congee texture that I like very much – smooth. Quite “flavorful”, but somehow thirsty after that.
E-Fu Noodle – S$12.00++
Hm…nothing special, seems plain to me. But he likes it. Not dry, nicely cooked noodle.
BBQ Combo (烧味双拼) – S$18.00++
The waitress highly recommended Duck and Roast Meat. Erm…kinda disappointed as the roast meat were chopped into small pieces. Skin was crispy but slightly salty for us, but we think that it’s too lean, ie. no fats. Ha ha ha…maybe we should eat healthy. Duck came with bones, not much meat. Erm…it’s not as nice as what I’ve expected. We still couldn’t forget the BBQ Combo which we had in HK….
Seafood Toufu Claypot (海鲜豆腐煲) – S$20.00++
Includes 2 prawns, 2 squids, 2 fish, several beancurds – size of the portion is standard I think. Taste nice and seafood were fresh, especially the fish. Yummy Yummy…
Overall, a normal dining experience, very standard. Service staffs were friendly, and refilled our tea promptly. Total bill was S$70.30.
As it’s a working day the following day, after dinner, we had a slow walk from Orchard to Dhoby Gaut MRT Train station. On the way, we noticed that there has been a great change around. New shopping malls, shopping carts in Orchard Central. Wow, it seems a long time since we last went to Orchard, couldn’t remember when.
I definitely would like to try their Dim Sum menu next time.

He gave me a surprise today. He’s required to go to Batam client’s place and he actually ordered a bouquet of flowers to my office. He he he…apparently, he ordered that on Monday morning. He ordered Tulips, but had to change to Lilies as the florist called him on Tuesday saying that the Tulips might not be able to bloom in time. No matter what, I still love it!
The gals celebrated my hatch day in the office. JL bought cupcakes from Twelve Cupcakes for us, and it’s yummy! Well, couldn’t take too creamy, so I go for their PB Chocolate. For more cupcakes choices, visit their menu here.
Oh!!! And of course, not forgetting JL’s pressie and his flowers 😀
Went for drinks at Sauce with M, JL and he came after his trip to Batam. He reached at about 8plus. Ordered the food which we ordered during our previous trip there. So I did not take the photos again :p
with love…
