From time to time, Dragon Phoenix Restaurant located in Novotel Hotel Clarke Quay will have some promotion. I missed it the last time, and it’s here again! 50% discount on Dim-Sum (a list of 30 items or more…) during lunch time. And of course, I’m not going to miss it again! Heard they are good. Reached there about 1, and was ushered to our seat. Erm…think is good to make reservation first. There were 8 of us. A typical chinese restaurant setting.
We’ve ordered a lot, almost every item on the list, except Egg Tarts and Carrot Cake! I didn’t realise it was in the list 🙁 Love almost everything, except that the Custard Bun was not what we’ve expected…without the flowing filling 🙁 The Century Egg Minced Pork Porridge was full of flavour, nice, smooth texture, and not salty. Loved the Siew Mai, Har Kow…ingredients was fresh and were steamed perfectly. Steamed pork ribs was so-so.
Service was acceptable, except that some of the items we’ve ordered, we actually need to chase or check a few times. And there’s one item wasn’t served though we’ve checked. With the amount of food we’ve ordered, total bill after discount is about S$15 per pax, which is very cheap. Looking at the menu, not sure if I’ll come without the discount as it’s slightly pricey.
