恭喜发财!

恭喜发财 – One of the most commonly used Chinese New Year phrases, wishing everyone abundance of luck and wealth!  And of course the tradition of Chinese New Year, besides reunion dinner, we will visit our relatives as well, especially the elders, such as Grandparents, Parents, Uncles, Aunties, etc.

First stop – his gran’s place.  Eat 😀  I love the Cantonese food his uncle cooked, especially the soup!  Nothing fanciful, but tasty! 好有味!  Besides soup, there’s Prawns, Soy Sauce Chicken, Steamed fish, 腊肠,腊肉, Mix-Vege (mushrooms, vermicelli, Black Fungus, etc).

2nd stop – his uncle’s place.  Eat, Gamble, Sit 😀  This is where, I’ll get to eat Hainanese food, especially the auntie’s Hainanese Chicken Rice.  Yummy!  Apparently, seems like his cousins and cousin-in-laws were waiting for the chinese rice, that’s why they didn’t wanna snack too much 😛

AHHHH!!!  Forgot to take photo of the food again!

As usual, after eating, will be MJ session.  Another one of the family’s tradition 😛  Something not to be missed whenever there’s a get-together session.  Initially, he didn’t wanna play, cos we need to go home to wait for his friends.  Well, no choice, cos short of a player.  Played until 1115pm.  OMG, I’m sleepy already…ha ha ha…

We reached home at about 11:45pm to wait for his friends to come over for another cards session 😛  I knocked out half way through the game, not sure if he won…  HUAT AH!!!!
